The Issue / Problem
We were appointed to deliver a programme of up to 13 bonded double-glazed unit (DGU) replacements at a live, high-profile central London site.
The damaged glazing was located across multiple elevations, each requiring a tailored access solution. A combination of rope access, bespoke scaffolding, MEWPs, spider cranes and specialist glass lifting equipment was needed to complete the works safely.
All units were bonded, meaning each replacement followed a two-stage process: safe removal, temporary weatherproofing, off-site re-bonding and final reinstatement.
Weekend-only access restrictions, a busy city-centre location and limited as-built information added further complexity, requiring detailed investigation and flexible programming.

The Outcome
All 13 bonded glazing units were replaced within programme.
Positive feedback was received from the site team. Despite weekend-only access and varied constraints, the works were delivered safely, efficiently, and without disruption to operations.
The project demonstrates our ability to deliver complex glazing replacement works in live commercial environments through technical expertise and flexible planning.
Our Solution
We developed a collaborative, flexible delivery strategy designed around access constraints and operational limitations, including:
