Project Overview
The customers home is close to the A1, this resulted in high levels of noise within the property.
During their Evander journey, the customers expressed their belief that acoustic vents were unnecessary, which our initial surveyor agreed with. The customer also raised concerns about the visual impact of these vents. With a newborn baby within the home, the customer was particularly concerned about internal noise levels and asked for alternative solutions.

Our Solution
To alleviative customers worries, we designated this home as the pilot for our cutting-edge acoustic field measurement device, “Pulse”. Using this advanced technology, we determined that the current home environment exhibited significant air leaks, rendering trickle vents unnecessary.
To mitigate noise, we installed specialized Optiphon acoustic glazing on eligible windows and introduced a Positive Input Ventilation unit (PIV) in the loft cavity. This solution ensured proper airflow, acoustic compliance, and enhanced indoor air quality while maintaining high energy efficiency.
The customers were delighted with the substantial reduction in internal noise levels and commended the efforts of our installation Engineers, highlighting their professionalism throughout.
