Timber Sash Window

Sash windows are one of the most popular timber window designs we supply and install, as they’re a very traditional window style. The window is opened by sliding the bottom unit upwards, although you can also slide the top down if you wish. This gives a good opening without the need for any part of the window to swing outwards or inwards, saving space as well as looking great. Available in multiple woodstain colours, our timber sash windows team traditional looks with efficient modern construction – the best of both worlds.

Overview

While timber window frames became slightly less popular during the last decades of the 20th century, new construction techniques have brought them back as a durable and great-looking choice for residential windows. Needing treatment every ? years (this can change depending on the environmental factors at play in your area – our highly trained engineers can advise you), timber windows are a little more high-maintenance than uPVC or aluminium, but for some this is a small price to pay for the great looks, eco credentials and natural thermal efficiency they bring to the home.

Hardware

We have a wide choice of different finishes and security upgrades available for our windows range. Please get in touch to find out what is available for your desired window specification.

Glazing Options

With double and triple glazing available, your timber sash windows may look traditional but they’ll certainly keep you a lot warmer in the winter months. Both clear and obscure glass can be fitted, depending on your preferred level of privacy, and toughened glass is also available.
