Let the Light Into Your Garage This Spring

Garages are often windowless spaces which don’t benefit from second-hand light from other areas, as they’re usually completely contained. If you spend time working in your garage, or use it as a storeroom or even a hobby room, then you’ll know that it can get quite gloomy inside, particularly when the door is shut.

To combat this, many people are beginning to opt for garage doors which include windows in the design. This doesn’t compromise the security or the operation of the door, and there are many different designs to choose from. You may even find that a garage door with integrated windows matches the style of your property better than a solid panel door.

Our Canopy and Tracked doors have a number of glazed options available which can be customised to suit your tastes. As spring is well and truly on the way and the days are getting longer, perhaps it’s time to let some sunlight into your garage space too. Take a look at the styles available below.

Garador Guardian Salisbury Garage DoorsGarador Salisbury (and the Garador Guardian Salisbury)

Material: Galvanised Steel

Opening Style: Canopy or Tracked

Available Colours: 18

Features: The Salisbury mimics the look of a pair of side-hinged garage doors in a traditional style that would not have looked out of place in the 40s, 50s and 60s. The windows are large and can be customised to have a cross or diamond pattern. You’re also able to choose plain or obscure glazing.

This style is also available in a Guardian version, which is approved by Secured by Design. The Guardian version has more security features than our standard Salisbury door (which is still up to British Standard and is very hard to compromise). If you’ve been burgled before or if there is a high crime rate in your area, then you may want to plump for the Guardian version just for peace of mind.
