National locksmith and home improvement company, Evander Glazing & Locks, have been awarded the RoSPA Gold Award for Occupational Health and Safety for the second year in succession.
After winning the Silver award in 2013, all staff – both those in branches and at the head office in Norwich – made a concerted effort and commitment to raise the standard of health and safety within the business. This was led by the health & safety management team, who left no stone unturned when looking at possible areas for improvement and training.
Graham Calver, Evander’s Health, Safety & Improvement Manager, says of the award:
“Winning this award for the second year in succession is testimony to the continuous drive and commitment provided by all areas of the business to ensure we provide a safe and healthy working environment for our staff, customers and the general public.”
RoSPA (The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) have been the pioneers for safety in the work place for almost 100 years, and are loyal to their two mission statements; tosave lives and reduce injuries and to have the vision to lead the way in accident prevention.
Evander have made a significant investment to align themselves with these visions and are delighted to have been recognised for the progress that has been made, especially in an industry that involves a multiplicity of risks in every working day, particularly for their dedicated field engineers.
The RoSPA award is one of many industry accreditations that Evander has been presented with. As well as numerous health & safety accolades, the home services specialist also has TrustMark status, is FENSA registered and has a number of International Standard certificates.
